The news pours down on my mind like the storms left in its wake Another day of senseless violence, all this pain and suffering my mind can’t shake And another legend passes way before their time Tributes, tears we all break out in familiar song Still I’m warm in bed each night with my loved ones at my side Seems like something’s got to give as these blessings keep extending My heart goes out to the suffering, how is this all ending? Driving to the night’s show colors beckoning, the light turns imperceptible Driving home that night, thinking about the music and all the sweet people Northern California’s like a lovely dream I make the kids laugh on the swings, will they ever want to stop? Try to keep my mind and eyes off that all pervasive screen I know we’ll learn a better way, it’s love that needs some tending My heart goes out to the suffering how is this all ending? The news is us tonight, heavy smoke, orange glow, emergency Get my family in the car, no time to pack, driving south uncertainly Fire spreading all around erratic as the winds We are spared but others have lost everything And still tonight I’m cooking udon noodles with my loves There’s got to be a shift the laws of physics aren’t bending My heart goes out to the suffering, how is this all ending?

Thin Veil 06:22
It’s hard not living day to day in anger It’s hard not living day to day in fear But as we walk through the darkness towards the danger The truth couldn’t be more clear I am a product of my privilege But I can still see right from wrong And I can stare into the belly of the beast and know its time is almost gone For there’s a Thin Veil that separates what appears from what is real It’s just a house of cards, a web of lies to distract and to conceal but if we look towards what we know is possible we can end this whole ordeal I know we’ll overcome this madness Change the message, elevate our sound We’ve got to listen to each other, work together Solutions will be found For there’s a Thin Veil that separates what appears from what is real It’s just a house of cards, a web of lies to distract and to conceal but if we look towards what we know is possible We can mend and we can heal I don’t know how we’ll win this battle, Perhaps there is no battle to be waged War is what maintains our divisions, We can’t heal our wounds enraged For there’s a Thin Veil that separates what appears from what is real It’s just a house of cards, a web of lies to distract and to conceal but if we look towards what we know is possible We’ll create the world we feel I am a product of my privilege But I can still see right from wrong We’ve got to listen to each other, share the world before it’s gone The darkest hour comes right before the dawn

Know that you’ll get well again Trust the Power of the Pelicans Set your mind free from distractions Take a glimpse at your reactions With the Pelicans you will find rest You will find peace in the silence Let your mind rest, you’ll get well again Trust the Power of the Pelicans

Loveencee 03:50
If it’s love that moves Then why are we still waiting It all unfolds so fast The endless day endures The planet breathes pulsating Electric lights ablaze Shattered glass Within my child’s grasp He’s bleeding A shift in time’s revealed Depends how we perceive it If what’s revealed remains And when the moment calls Will you and I behold it? I’d like to think we will If it’s love that moves Then why are we still waiting We must not lose our grasp Foolish war Your aims are such a bore It kills me Will there be peace on earth? I’d say to be determined No reason I can’t see

There was a time When it looked like the end game Soldiers rolled through the streets and Children cried as there hunger just would not subside Broken and bent All our dreams were abandoned An impossible climb and We had believed we had run out of time See me floating through the sky, maybe I can see us down there See a world where we all try to reconcile that which divides us There was a time When it looked like the end game But we cast off the systems Self imposed by our fear, finally seeing what’s clear Soldiers dismantled their guns In spite of their orders Fully seeing their threat was Fabricated by lies and created by borders I reached out my hand You received it with warmth and impeccable understanding We could begin to see what it’s like to be free And if it’s love that you are and you are (and you are and you are) I’ll leave a light in my window And if it’s love that you are and you are (and you are and you are) You’ll find a light in my window And if it’s love that you are and you can’t seem to find A path to your heart, think you’ve run out of time Or you don’t trust your vision, think it ain’t worth a dime Don’t know where to begin, an impossible climb Well you can look in my eyes and I’m sure you will see That this all happened before and it happened to me We’re all infinite light streams colliding with force Imperfect and messy but never off course The grief and the sorrow, the loss and the pain All blended together washes out in the rain We will never regain what we’ve lost Grab your boat cast your sails we’ll set out for the sea One of the last places where we can still truly feel free If I was a lighthouse and you were a light Then let the waves crash down on us impeccably bright
